This is my Super Clamp project my goal was to create a clamp that would be the strongest and sturdiest out of all my classmates. First I researched online the best design that for the strongest clamp I could possibly make. Then I chose my best design and got to work on a prototype. I came up with was a two piece clamp that would be held together by a spring that wood clamp because of the tension within the spring. The clamp was jointed together by a single piece of metal wire supplied by Mr Ramos. then the testing process begin to test my Super Clamp i must put the clamp on his finger and ask if it hurts or not. The results of my tests were that my client did not hurt because the spring was not tensioned enough and it just barely grasping his finger. at the end of this test I communicated with him (Mr Ramos) and talk about redesigning my clamp.
This is my final exam project the boat. My goal was to create a boat out of pink foam and wood and i had a requirement for this project it was that it had the float inside the fish tank in our class. I immediately went to researching. the first search result I came up on was a fact that a boat will float in any case when the buoyancy force overtakes the weight. From this information I developed and shows an idea of a small boat relatively 6 inches long and 3 inches deep and it would consist of a hull of pink foam and that the hull would be covered in small pieces of wood. The boat would also have a railing around the top deck of it just for looks so it can be super sick. After I finished my prototype of the boat I began to go into the testing phase of this project. During the testing phase I drop my boat into the fish tank and its succeeded in my goal of floating it floated for the whole time it I placed in there until the time I took it out it was a success. After the success of my test I communicated with Mr Ramos about the pros and cons of this project and thought about redesigning it for a super super super sick boat!!!!
This is my windmill project. My goal is to create a windmill that with the power of the wind will create the most voltage when it is applied to a voltage meter. after I was giving my goal and i got to researching the best design for a windmill I decided to come up with a one propeller design with the propeller on a three and a half foot tall post with a base that was made from poured concrete inside a traffic cone. After I developed and shows my design now came the test. For the test we put my windmill in front of a fan and attached the motor in the pvc housing to a voltage meter and ours got a total voltage of 2.2v. After the test portion was over I communicated with my team and thought of ways to redesign our windmill to get a better and higher total voltage.
one of my engineering design projects this fourth term was to clean out my locker. To set up this project I did some research on what I would need to do to open my locker and I forgot the combination I realized that I would need to use the bolt cutters to open my locker because I did not know the combination. After I developed and shows my ideas for this project I ask Mr a must for the bolt cutters and I cut my lock open easily. The next part of my project was cleaning out my locker and take him home any projects that I liked or wanted to keep and throwing up the rest of the junk. It only took me a few minutes to complete my goal but after I was finished I communicated with Mr Ramos and talk to you about how it could have redesigned my experience or changed up how I would have of my locker.
This entry into my Weebly isn't necessarily about an engineering design project it's more about me helping out Mr Ramos and moving to the new school. Mr Ramos gave me a goal of moving a big heavy drill press out from one of his closet near the doors to the movers can move it to the new school eventually but we also had a goal of cleaning and making it spic and span. For this project you could say, I researched in my mind the best way to move this over 500 pound row press and I realized my mind that a pallet mover would help us get reach our goal faster and more efficiently because it could have to lift heavier things than any man could. So after I research in my mind you could say I developed my ideas and shows that the pallet would be the best way to fulfil my goal. During the so-called testing phase, I went into the maintenance room and grab the pallet lifter and went back to the closet in Mr Ramos his room and then loaded the drill press on the power mover and moved it to the other door across the room successfully. Once it reached to the door Matthew Higgins and I cleaned it up with sandpaper and WD 40 and make it and cleaned off all the graffiti and made it shine. After we completed our goal Mr Ramos and I communicated and thought how we could have redesigned the situation to make it more convenient For Matthew and I. I EARNED 100 EXTRA CREDITS POINTS FOR THIS RAMOS
One of my other labor intensive projects with Mr Ramos was that I had to clean off a bookshelf in one of his maintenance rooms. Cleaning the bookshelf was my goal for the day and I was excited on completing my goal cuz I wasn't going to let Mr Ramos down. I did some research from the room and discovered that the best way to clean up the bookshelf was typical the books up using gloves cuz they were dirty, and put them into a trash bin and move them to the dumpster outside. After developing shows my ideas I began the test / labor portion of this project. It only took me 10 minutes to complete this test portion of my projects and I do it to the best of my ability the bookshelf is now clean and empty of all books I succeeded in my goal. After I was finished Mr Amos and I conversed and communicated rid are pros and cons of the project and talks about how I could have redesigned my labor intensive project. REMEMBER RAMOS I EARNED MY ACADEMIC BANK ACCOUNT POINTS BACK!!!!! ALL 100
